Beginner Makeup

So, you want to begin wearing makeup but have no clue where to start? Well, I hope this page is helpful to you!

Skin:
Use tinted moisturizers, not heavy foundation because you don't want to look like you have a bunch of makeup. You just want to even out your skin tone.

Cheeks:
Use a natural light pink blush such as eyes lips face studio blush in Tickled Pink.

Eyes:
Start off with an eyelid primer. I recommend the eyes lips face eyelid primer. ($1) This will help your shadows not the crease throughout the day.

Then, use a base. A base is used before eyeshadow to intensify the color. I recommend NYX Jumbo Eyeshadow Pencil in Milk ($3-5). Just use your finger to put a light amount across your lid only.

After that, apply your favorite color eyeshadow. I recommend getting a palette such as a Bh Comestics 1st Edition Palette for variety.

Proceed to line your eyes with an eyeliner. My current favorite is the Revlon Colorstay Eyeliner in black. I recommened not wearing too much liner because you don't want to look like a completely different person without it.

Another alternative, as mentioned in the tips page, is to use black eyeshadow as an eyeliner on your lashline. You'll need a small eyeliner brush for this.

Another option would be using a peach or skin toned eyeliner to brighten up the eyes instead of using black which actually makes eyes look smaller.

For your lashes I recommend two to three coats of the Maybelline Falsies Masacra (the purple bottle). It's easy to use and lengthens lashes remarkably.

Lips:
Condition lips with something very moisturizing like Vaseline or a lip balm. Then, add a tinted lip gloss of your choice.

Brushes:
If you figure that your serious about makeup then I recommend getting the Sigma Make Me Cool Brush Set because it contains every brush you'll need. If not, you can use your finger for most basic looks.
